- Metso recently won the Chilean mining suppliers´ association Aprimin´s Annual Safety Award 2014 for the second year running in the ´large company´ category. It received this recognition for its performance in the prevention of occupational hazards, beating 90 other companies. The award was attended by the Minister of Mines and major mining companies in Chile.

Tata Steel recently bagged the ´Business of the Year´ award, also called the sustainability trophy, at the CII-ITC Sustainability Award 2014 ceremony, held last month in Delhi. The company received the award in the presence of dignitaries and representatives from the government and leaders of the corporate world. The award function was graced by Prakash Javadekar, Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India as the Chief Guest.
Promoting India-US trade
An interactive session on ´exploring business opportunities with Pennsylvania´ was jointly organised by MVIRDC World Trade Centre (WTC), All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and Pennsylvania International Business Development. An MOU was signed between MVIRDC WTC, Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development and AIAI to promote trade and investment between the two nations.
Perkins Engines Company Ltd recently held its 6th GOEM (Global Original Equipment Manufacturers) Council in Delhi, India to provide Perkins´ GOEMs with a business overview, highlight recent product updates and discuss continued activities in the product support space.
