Jindal Stainless Launches Jindal Infinity Rebars In Punjab

Jindal Stainless launched Jindal Infinity stainless steel rebars in Amritsar, marking the brand's retail debut in Punjab and a move to bring advanced construction materials closer to end consumers. The company presented the retail entry as an extension of its construction value chain, aimed at prioritising long-term performance, safety and lifecycle value. The announcement was issued on 18 April 2026.

A two-day event brought contractors, architects and structural engineers together to raise material awareness and demonstrate end-use applications. Interactions emphasised product understanding and the role of last-mile availability in material selection. An initial retail and distribution network of 20 partners across Punjab will support availability and direct engagement with consumers and contractors.

The company said stainless steel rebars provide superior durability and corrosion resistance, with a higher critical chloride threshold for aggressive environments. They are engineered for greater load-bearing capacity and tensile strength and offer improved seismic performance due to a higher tension-to-yield ratio. Additional benefits include inherent fire resistance at elevated temperatures and reduced concrete cover requirements that aid design efficiency. The firm stated service life can exceed twice that of conventional rebars, reducing maintenance and improving lifecycle value.

Jindal Infinity rebars are produced from billets cast at the Hisar plant and processed into rebars at the Ghaziabad facility as part of the company's long product portfolio serving infrastructure, railways and real estate. Availability will expand to Ludhiana and Chandigarh, followed by select markets in Haryana and Andhra Pradesh over the next six to 12 months, with a subsequent pan-India rollout. Jindal Stainless reported an annual turnover of Rs 401,820 million (USD 4.75 billion) in FY25 and said it is ramping up operations to reach four point two million tonnes of annual melt capacity in FY27. The group noted it operates 16 facilities, maintains a network in 12 countries and has 10 sales offices and six service centres in India.
