JSW Steel Posts 5% Rise in Crude Steel Output in November

JSW Steel has reported consolidated crude steel production of 24.39 lakh tonnes for November 2025, marking a 5 per cent year-on-year increase. Indian operations contributed 23.61 lakh tonnes, while JSW Steel USA – Ohio accounted for 0.78 lakh tonnes.

Capacity utilisation across Indian facilities stood at 84 per cent, reflecting the planned shutdown of Blast Furnace 3 at Vijayanagar for an upgrade from 3 to 4.5 MTPA. Excluding BF3, utilisation levels were around 93 per cent during the month.

JSW Steel, the flagship company of the US$ 23-billion JSW Group, has grown into India’s leading integrated steel producer with a consolidated capacity of 35.7 MTPA, including 1.5 MTPA in the US. Its next growth phase is expected to raise total capacity to 43.4 MTPA over the next three years. The Vijayanagar plant, with 17.5 MTPA capacity, remains India’s largest single-location steel manufacturing facility.

The company continues to invest in innovation through its collaboration with JFE Steel of Japan, supporting the development of high-value special steel products for applications across construction, infrastructure, automotive, electrical and appliance sectors. JSW Steel has earned multiple global recognitions for sustainability, responsible manufacturing and quality excellence, including consecutive honours as a Steel Sustainability Champion and ResponsibleSteel certifications covering over 80 per cent of domestic crude steel production.

The company has also set ambitious decarbonisation goals, including a 42 per cent reduction in CO? emissions by 2030 and net-neutral emissions by 2050, alongside targets for biodiversity, water conservation, air quality improvement and renewable-energy-driven steelmaking.
