Viva ACP Secures EPD Certification for Sustainable Cladding

Viva, Asia’s largest manufacturer of aluminium composite panels (ACP), has announced the successful release of its Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) under the International EPD® System. This milestone affirms Viva’s commitment to sustainability, transparent environmental reporting, and eco-conscious manufacturing.

The certification covers Fire-Retardant (FR) Class A2, FR Class B1, and Non-FR ACPs, assessing the environmental performance of 1m² of Viva ACP (4mm thick) throughout its lifecycle—from raw material extraction to end-of-life recycling. The EPD reveals that up to 95 per cent of aluminium and 90 per cent of the polyethylene (PE) core used in Viva panels are recyclable, supporting a circular economy approach.

By choosing Viva’s EPD-certified ACPs, architects and developers can earn up to two LEED points for green building projects. The certification also ensures compliance with leading global standards such as LEED, BREEAM, IGBC, and GRIHA, offering measurable value in sustainable infrastructure development.

“Achieving this EPD certification marks a major milestone in our sustainability journey. It reflects our dedication to responsible manufacturing, transparency, and our vision of building a greener future through innovative cladding solutions,” said Nitin Jain, Director, Viva Composite Panel.

Viva ACPs are engineered for both versatility and durability, with applications spanning across architectural facades, interior walls and ceilings, commercial signage, vehicle interiors, furniture, and even solar panel structures. Their lightweight design, weather resistance, and aesthetic flexibility make them a preferred choice in both residential and commercial sectors.

Manufactured at Viva’s advanced facility in Umbergaon, Gujarat, using cutting-edge Korean technology, these panels reflect a blend of style and substance. With this certification, Viva joins a select group of Indian ACP manufacturers offering internationally benchmarked sustainability credentials, enabling stakeholders across the construction and design ecosystem to make informed, environmentally responsible material choices.
