We are here to create our market

‘Simple solutions for complex construction’ is the slogan for SVA Formwork Systems, which introduced its S-Timber system at bauma this year. The system has timber covered on all four sides with GI steel, with slots on two sides as per customer requirement for nailing purposes. According to SVA, this system reduces costs in a big way. Besides, the company also showcased its wall panel system, aluminium panel system and slab system. Vishal Ganatra, Director-Marketing, shares more…

One pathbreaking offering: S-Timber; it is a safe system with some loading parameters, and can be used for several years replacing the secondary member (H20 beam) from slab and completely replacing the H20 beam (primary and secondary) for beam application as well. Ultimately, it is a value engineering product that fulfils technical parameters and is cost-effective, reducing the price of slab and beam considerably. While we were focusing initially on Gujarat and the western and southern regions, we will also now focus on the eastern and northern regions.

Demand drivers in 2019: Focus on residential, commercial and industrial applications to provide the system with ease in use for labour (unskilled) and those who can understand the system as well. We are working on small, petty issues that the client faces on a daily basis; for instance, we developed a small section for beam application that can help contractors if there is a sudden change in beam design.

Challenge for the company in 2019: None really. We are here to create our market. Our main focus is to involve ourselves in our products that can be simple, yet technically fulfil all criteria, and be cost-effective, which can help conventional users shift to system formwork.

Key strategy to success in 2019: Like S-Timber, we are also focussing on solutions that can help build residential and commercial projects as fast as possible. We are working towards R&D of products that can be of benefit in terms of price, quality and speed. We are also focusing on after-sales service, which is an integral part of our industry.

Recommendation for growth of the construction equipment market: These kinds of systems should be involved in government sectors as well. The government has initiated Skill India and many such programmes where this kind of system awareness should be included so that future generations can understand the concept and help to build the future in a better way. Also, safety programmes should be regularly carried out on site to avoid chances of accidents happening at any site.
