Air India to Launch Non-Stop Delhi-Osaka Flights from February 2027

Air India will launch non-stop flights between New Delhi and Osaka from February 2, 2027, adding a direct connection between India and Japan. The service will operate four times a week in each direction and is scheduled to become the only non-stop service on the route.

The airline will use Boeing 787-8 aircraft for the flights. Flight AI360 will leave Delhi at 10:50 pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, reaching Osaka at 9:50 am the following day. All timings are local.

The return service, AI359, will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. It will depart Osaka at 11:50 am and arrive in Delhi at 6:20 pm on the same day. The schedule is intended to provide direct travel without a stopover for leisure, business and family visits.

Osaka will be Air India’s second destination in Japan after Tokyo Haneda. The airline currently operates daily flights from Delhi to Tokyo and four weekly flights from Mumbai to Tokyo. Passengers will also be able to book multi-city itineraries through the new connection.

The Boeing 787-8 aircraft assigned to the route has 18 full-flat Business Class beds and 241 Economy Class seats. Air India announced the service on October 15 as demand for travel between India and Japan continues to strengthen through tourism, business and cultural exchanges.

Data from the Japan National Tourism Organization showed that more than 315,000 Indian visitors travelled to Japan in 2025. That represented a 35 per cent increase from 2024 and was nearly 80 per cent above pre-pandemic levels, highlighting the growing market for additional air links between the two countries.
