India Launches First Indigenous Trainer Aircraft HANSA-3(NG)

In a milestone for India's aviation self-reliance, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh officially launched HANSA-3(NG), the nation’s first indigenously developed trainer aircraft for Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) training. Developed by CSIR-NAL, the aircraft features a digital glass cockpit, fuel-efficient Rotax 912 iSc3 engine, and a range of 620 nautical miles. Its Transfer of Technology has been granted to Mumbai-based Pioneer Clean Amps Pvt. Ltd. With over 110 Letters of Intent from flying schools, the facility will initially produce 36 aircraft annually.
