$400 Mn RCC Road Project In Imphal To Be Finalised

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh announced on Tuesday that an agreement for constructing reinforced cement concrete (RCC) roads in the greater Imphal area, with an estimated project cost of approximately $400 million, is likely to be signed later this month. Addressing a gathering, Singh emphasised that true progress for the state can only be achieved when its citizens live with dignity. Highlighting welfare initiatives undertaken by the state government, he mentioned that the Chief Minister Hakshelgi Tengbang (Chief Minister's Health Assistance) scheme, which originally offered cashless treatment up to $24,000, has been increased to $60,000 due to the state’s improved economic conditions.
