Rail over bridges for decongesting Kochi

A 65.8 m long single span bridge with a steel arch one, will soon be built in Kochi, a first-of-its-kind construction in the state. The iconic bridge will come up at Edappally, connecting the Ponekkara bus stand side and the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences end across the rails. With an estimated cost of Rs 10.44 crore the rail over bridge work will be completed in six months with a provision to add two more lanes if required in future.
