Reportedly, as much as 15 acre of land has been levelled as of March 28, while the earthwork, like the levelling activity, began on March 18.

NHAI at present is acquiring 23 hectare of land for the 4.2-km four-lane highway leading up to the passenger terminal building at the border. The total cost of the highway project is expected to be Rs 1.2 billion. The NHAI is expected to release Rs 1.4 billion.

The passenger terminal building is expected to cater to 5,000 pilgrims per day.
