NHAI Extends 375 KM Highway via TOT to Private Sector

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has opened up another 375 kilometers of highway infrastructure to the private sector through the Toll-Operate-Transfer (TOT) model. This move aligns with NHAI's strategy to involve private participation in managing and maintaining key stretches of the country's roadways.

The TOT model allows private entities to take over the operation and maintenance of highway stretches, collecting toll revenue for a specified concession period. By offering an additional 375 kilometres, NHAI aims to leverage private sector expertise and resources to enhance the efficiency and quality of highway management.

This initiative is part of NHAI's broader approach to leveraging public-private partnerships for the development and maintenance of the national highway network.
