PTYO Reviews NH-129A Works, Calls For Public Support

The Peren Town Youth Organisation (PTYO) inspected the ongoing road construction works along the NH-129A Package 1 town-area stretch on 8 December 2025 to assess progress on the key infrastructure project designed to enhance regional connectivity.

PTYO president Machi Reunim and general secretary Heluichube said the team met the site engineer and Public Relations Officer, expressing appreciation for the quality of work underway. The organisation commended both the contractor and the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) for adhering to prescribed standards and maintaining workmanship in line with the approved Detailed Project Report (DPR).

The group also appealed to residents to extend full cooperation throughout the construction period, urging the public to respect the ongoing work and avoid any disturbance or interference.

Condemning acts of violence, threats or extortion by unauthorised groups or individuals, PTYO warned that such behaviour risks delaying the project and compromising quality. It stated that any person or group involved in such activities would be held accountable.

PTYO emphasised that the successful completion of the road project is essential for the development of the town and surrounding region, citing improvements in transport links and the potential boost to local economic growth. The organisation encouraged the contractor, NHIDCL and local authorities to continue their diligent work and maintain open communication with the public.
