SRM Contractors Secures NHAI Contract Worth Rs 168 Crore

SRM Contractors has secured a contract from the National Highways Authority of India worth Rs 168 crore, equal to Rs 1,680 million (mn) or Rs 1.68 bn. The award covers construction of long-term remedial measures at the identified landslide location Thalout, Ch. 229+600 to Ch. 230+100 between Pandoh and Kullu on the Pandoh to Kullu section of NH-03, formerly NH-21, in the State of Himachal Pradesh. The contract is structured on an engineering, procurement and construction mode under the national highway ordinary category. The agreement specifies delineated chainages and technical parameters laid out in the tender documents.

The scope of work focuses on stabilisation and long-term mitigation of slope failure and associated geotechnical interventions at the specified chainage. The project will involve rock bolting, retaining structures, protection works and drainage measures to improve slope stability and ensure safer passage along the corridor. Detailed design and site mobilisation form part of the contractual obligations. Site investigation and remedial methodology will follow the technical specifications prescribed in the contract.

The company indicated the contract will add to its order book and contribute to revenue visibility for forthcoming quarters. The firm noted that execution will involve coordination with NHAI engineering teams and local authorities to meet site access and safety requirements. Procurement and project management resources will be allocated from the company's existing operations. Supply chain and material sourcing will be coordinated through the firm's existing vendor network to meet project milestones.

Financially, the award strengthens the company's project portfolio in the road construction sector and supports its presence in hilly terrain projects. The work is aimed at sustaining highway connectivity and reducing disruption risks for traffic on a key regional route. The company also outlined compliance with environmental safeguards and traffic management plans required for hill state projects. The contract was first published by the company on Apr 15 2026.
