Apart from real-time alerts, the system is also able to bring long-term behavioural changes to drivers. Netradyne sends snippets of videos of driver behaviour and points out what needs to change in order to lower risks. Apart from alerts, the system also helps improve upon one’s driving habits. The latest version of the product has micro weather recognition capabilities. It can detect if there is snow on the road or if there is fog. The systems have done about 14 billion miles and are doing about 600 million miles a month now. With this data, including data of thousands of accidents a month, the company is able to very accurately predict the chances of a driver having an accident in the next 12 months or how many vehicles in a large fleet could have an accident in the next 12 months.
