Vehicles to have three decks to transport two-wheelers: MoRTH

An official told the media that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has allowed rigid vehicles and trailers to have three decks to transport two-wheeler vehicles, with the load body not projecting out over the driver's cabin.

It will facilitate the manufacturing, type approval testing, and registration of cash vans as special purpose vehicles (SPV).

MoRTH issued a notification whereby cash vans should comply with the minimum requirements as per the Automotive Industry Standard as amended from time to time till the corresponding BIS specifications are notified under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Act 2016.
