Cabinet Clears Bangalore Metro Phase 3 with Rs.156.11 Bn Allocation

The Indian Cabinet has given the green light to Phase 3 of the Bangalore Metro Rail project, sanctioning a budget of ?156.11 billion. This major infrastructure initiative aims to expand the city?s metro network, addressing the growing transportation needs of Bangalore?s rapidly increasing population.

The Phase 3 expansion will introduce several new lines and extend existing ones, connecting key urban and suburban areas. This phase is expected to add significant mileage to the metro network, making it easier for residents to commute across the city.
