Delhi CM greenlights MoU for phase-4's initial 3 metro corridors

An official statement conveyed that the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the first three corridors under Phase-IV of the metro has been approved by Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister, Delhi. Presently, the DMRC is actively engaged in the construction of a 65.2-km stretch encompassing three priority corridors with 45 stations.

The three corridors include Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg (28.92 km) and Majlis Park-Maujpur (12.55 km), both extensions of the Magenta Line and Pink Line of the Delhi Metro. Additionally, the Aerocity-Tughlakabad corridor (23.62 km), known as the Golden Line, is under construction to connect the Violet Line and the Airport Line from their respective ends.

As per the official statement from the Delhi government, the approval granted by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will expedite the progress of construction on these three corridors. These proposed corridors awaiting approval are Rithala-Bawana-Narela, Inderlok-Indraprastha, and Lajpat Nagar-Saket G Block, and the government is actively pursuing their swift approval.
