MMRDA reinvites bids for Mumbai Metro Line 6

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited bids for the strategic 15.18 km long metro Line 6 running from Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli. It includes rolling stock (18 trains of six coaches), CBTC signalling & train control (S&TC), telecommunication, platform screen doors (PSDs), and depot machinery & plant (M&P) for Kanjurmarg Depot.

Key specifications of the tender are as follows: ? Estimate: Rs 2,064.63 crore ? Contract period: 17 years (15 + 2) ? Pre-bid meeting: February 26, 2024 at 11 am ? Bid submission deadline: April 2, 2024 at 2 pm ? Technical bid opening: April 3, 2024 at 2 pm

The scope of the contract entails the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, integration, testing and commissioning of rolling stock, communication-based signalling and train control, telecommunication, platform screen doors systems and depot machinery and plant, including 15 years of comprehensive maintenance after two years, of defect liability maintenance period of line 6 of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA.
