Monarch Secures Rs 1.3 bn Northern Railway Consultancy Contract

Monarch Surveyors and Engineering Consultants Limited (Monarch) has secured a consultancy contract from Northern Railway for railway infrastructure projects valued at Rs 1.3 billion (Rs 1.3 bn), marking the largest order secured by the company to date. The award, announced on 14 April 2026 from Pune, significantly scales up Monarch's order book and provides enhanced multi-year revenue visibility. The contract encompasses integrated consultancy services and is expected to reinforce the company's standing in the railway infrastructure consultancy vertical.

The scope of the assignment covers final location survey, geotechnical investigations, design and preparation of drawings along with preliminary activities required for detailed project reports, land acquisition and engineering, procurement and construction tender documentation. The engagement also includes facilitation support to the Competent Authority for Land Acquisition for projects that may include new lines, bypass and chord lines, doubling and multi-tracking work, and flyover schemes. The comprehensive remit is intended to provide end-to-end inputs from survey to tender stage.

The contract is slated for execution over a period of 36 months, offering strong execution visibility and near to mid term revenue certainty. Company leadership described the order as a significant milestone that validates Monarch's capabilities to execute large scale integrated assignments and underlines its strategy to fortify presence in the railway sector while expanding into other infrastructure segments. The award is expected to materially enhance the company's project pipeline and medium term outlook.

Founded in 1999, Monarch provides comprehensive infrastructure consulting services across railways, roads, urban development and industrial corridors. Services include detailed project reports, urban planning, land acquisition advisory, geospatial mapping using LiDAR and three dimensional scanning, detailed engineering design and project management services.
