Mopalwar becomes DG War Room for infra projects
In a bid to fast-track the execution of ongoing and new infrastructure projects without time/cost escalation, the new Maharashtra government has appointed Radheshyam Mopalwar as the Director General (War Room-Infrastructure Projects) in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in Mantralaya. Mopalwar is an IAS officer of 1995 batch who had retired in February 2018. He will oversee infrastructure projects worth more than Rs 1 trillion, being launched or proposed by urban and public work departments and various agencies, including the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation, the City and Industrial Development Corporation and Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).
