RailTel Wins Rs 245.3 Million East Coast Railway Maintenance Order

RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has secured a work order from East Coast Railway valued at Rs 245.3 million (mn) inclusive of taxes. The company received the letter of acceptance on 19 March 2026 and disclosed the award under applicable listing regulations. The contract was granted by a domestic railway zone and relates to operational support within the railway network.

The order covers outsourcing of workforce for signalling and telecommunications maintenance in the Khurda Road Division and is focused on routine upkeep of existing infrastructure. The scope is limited to deployment of personnel and does not include construction or system upgrades. The work is service based and aimed at supporting day to day operations of the division.

The contract will run for two years with completion expected by 18 March 2028 and represents a fixed term arrangement aligned with maintenance requirements. RailTel made the disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015 and furnished additional details as per the SEBI master circular dated 30 January 2026. The company stated that there are no related party transactions and that there is no promoter group interest in the awarding entity.

As of March 23 2026 at 11:46 am the share price of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd stood at Rs 258.60, a four point seven five per cent decrease from the previous close. The order is expected to add to the company's ongoing maintenance related contracts within the railway sector and to contribute to steady revenue from services over the contract term.
