Remsons Opens Rs 50 Million Rail Parts Unit in Pune

Remsons Industries Ltd has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility for locomotive applications in Chakan, Pune. Spanning thirty thousand square feet, the plant features advanced precision engineering systems, assembly lines, and railway-grade testing labs. The facility was opened on 23 May 2025 by Chairman and Managing Director Mr Krishna Kejriwal.

This state-of-the-art unit strengthens Remsons’ role in the railway sector and will cater to both freight and passenger rail markets. Key capabilities include CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication with welding, an in-house compliance lab, and a training centre for skilled workers.

The plant is part of a Rs 50 million investment, financed through debt, with capacity expansion planned over three years. This marks Remsons’ strategic move to grow its mobility offerings into the locomotive domain.
