RLDA floats tender for leasing vacant land parcels in Asansol

The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has floated a tender for leasing a vacant land parcel in Asansol.

The more modest 7,500 sq m land is under the Eastern Railway Zone and is situated on Station Road opposite the DRM office. It has a reference built-up area of 15,000 sq m with a sanctioned FSI of 2.0. The reserve value for the land, which will be leased out for 45 years, has been set at Rs 7.6 crore.

On 10th September, the pre-bid meeting was carried out. As per the RLDA, there was a good response from national as well as local developers. The last date to submit the tenders is 27th October.

RLDA vice-president, Ved Parkash Dudeja, told the media that Asansol is a notable industrial centre under the Eastern Railway zone, one of the most eminent revenue generators for Indian Railways. The site is located on Station Road and is well-connected to notable transit landmarks like the bus stand and the railway station. The aimed development will enhance retail and commercial development, create employment and usher in the socio-economic conversion of the area.
