Sabarmati-Agra train derails near Ajmer; no casualties reported

It was reported by officials that four coaches of the Sabarmati-Agra superfast train derailed near the Ajmer station on the morning of March 18th. The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 am. They mentioned that no loss of life had been reported. The express train was en route to Agra at the time. According to Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of the North Western Railway (NWR) Zone, the incident occurred as the train crossed Ajmer station and was nearing Madar station. The cause of the derailment is yet to be determined. Kiran told PTI that "no injury or casualty has been reported. The train movement in the up/down direction towards the Delhi side has already started. We are about to start the services in the Uttar Pradesh direction too." The NWR has established a helpdesk at the Ajmer station and has also provided a helpline number, 0145-2429642, for the relatives of passengers on board the affected train. Kiran also mentioned that "Six trains have been cancelled, and two trains have been diverted to other routes."?
