STL Networks Emerges Lowest Bidder for Rs. 2.5 bn RailTel Contract

Gurugram-based STL Networks has emerged as the lowest bidder for a Rs. 2.5 bn contract floated by RailTel Corporation of India for deploying cloud infrastructure at the railway company’s data centre and disaster recovery site. The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing on September 29.

The contract, including applicable taxes, covers the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, configuration, integration, migration and deployment of the cloud infrastructure solution. The project is classified as a domestic contract and was issued under RailTel’s tender process.

STL Networks said the bid was released under tender number RAILTEL/TENDER/OT/CO/ITP/2026-27/DC – DR Infra/018. The tender was dated June 25, 2026, and relates to infrastructure requirements across RailTel’s primary data centre and disaster recovery facility.

Under the proposed scope, STL Networks would install and configure the required infrastructure and undertake the related integration and migration work. The filing did not provide a separate execution timeline, stating that the applicable terms were set out in the tender document.

The company’s status as the lowest bidder does not constitute a formal contract award. RailTel will need to complete the relevant award process before the project can be confirmed. Shares of STL Networks closed at Rs. 49.46 on September 29, down 4.99 per cent during the session.
