TMH-RVNL sign agreement for Vande Bharat trains

The consortium partners from Russia's TMH Group and India's Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), who submitted the lowest proposal for the sleeper design Vande Bharat trains, have reconciled their disputes. The Russian equipment supplier Locomotive Electronic Systems (LES) and TMH subsidiary Metrowagonmash have inked a share purchase agreement, according to a statement from RVNL to the boruses.

The senior government officials reportedly requested that RVNL and TMH settle their issues, according to sources in the newspaper's version published on Tuesday. This month, a development in the same field was anticipated.

The deal is for a share in Kinet Railway Solutions Limited, the company that would provide and maintain 120 Vande Bharat trains with sleeper bodies. The TMH-RVNL bid, at Rs 120 crore per train, was considerably less expensive than those of rival bidders BHEL-Titagarh (Rs 139.8 crore), Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML) - Siemens (Rs 145 crore), Alstom Transport (Rs 164.52 crore), and Medha Servo Drives-Stadler Rail (Rs 165 crore).
