DK Hota has been recently elevated from Director-Human Resources, to being Chairman & Managing Director, BEML, a defence PSU and a diversified heavy engineering conglomerate with proven capability in design, manufacturing and marketing wide range of products in mining and construction, defence, and rail and metro. Prior to joining BEML, Hota spent 30 years with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), his last role being that of heading the company´s Natural Gas Division. An alumnus of St Stephens, New Delhi, having graduated in Economic (Honours), Hota also holds an MBA degree in Human Resources from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He believes that the ´Make in India´ campaign of the government is a golden opportunity for BEML to grow. With the given potential of the skills and experience, and under the apt guidance of Hota, the company is sure to rise to greater heights.
