ACC led by Kuldip Kaura, Managing Director and CEO, is on a bull run. The company posted a 26.3 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 414.5 crore, against Rs 328.1 crore in the previous corresponding quarter. The company aspires to be one of the most respected companies in India and has its eyes set on the future expansion, which includes setting up of a 5 milliont onne integrated cement complex, along with an 8 mtpa cement grinding unit and a 100 MW captive power plant in Andhra Pradesh. Besides, the company is also developing a 7 mtpa captive limestone mine for supply to the plant. It is also seeking a mining lease for 997.08 hectare in the proposed plant area from the central environment ministry. It has also already announced its plans to increase cement capacity by 5 million tonne through Brownfield expansion at its Jamul plant in Chattisgarh With so many projects on the anvil, the company is definitely on a flight to success.
