JK Cement Launches JK Super Cement In Kashmir

JK Cement Ltd, through its subsidiary Saifco Cements Pvt Ltd, has launched its flagship brand JK Super Cement in Kashmir, marking a key milestone in the company’s expansion strategy. The move follows JK Cement’s recent acquisition in the region and reflects its ambition to support infrastructure and economic growth in Jammu & Kashmir.
JK Super Cement, known for its superior strength and durability, will now be manufactured locally and distributed across major districts including Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipore, Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama. The initiative is aimed at improving cement availability for public infrastructure projects, housing, and private construction.
Managing Director Dr Raghavpat Singhania said the entry into Kashmir was a natural extension of the company’s northern growth strategy. “With local production, we can serve the region’s rising demand efficiently while contributing to its long-term development,” he noted. Joint MD and CEO Madhavkrishna Singhania added that the investment would also create employment, develop skills, and build a self-reliant ecosystem in line with sustainable growth goals.
Saifco Cements’ directors Suhail Manzoor Guna and Dawood Altaf Guna described the launch as a commitment to supporting the region’s infrastructure needs while strengthening economic resilience and generating meaningful employment.
Aligned with the government’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision, the project will drive local production and expand JK Cement’s national footprint. It builds on recent expansions in Bihar and capacity upgrades in other states, reinforcing the company’s position as one of India’s leading cement manufacturers.
JK Cement currently has a grey cement capacity of 25.26 MTPA and a white cement and wall putty capacity of 3.05 MTPA, with a presence in 15 states and exports to 36 countries. In recent years, it has diversified into paints, construction chemicals, and ready-mix concrete under its home-building solutions portfolio.
