Only 12.5% Home Care Patients Use Manually Adjustable Beds

Godrej & Boyce, the Godrej Group's flagship firm, said today that Godrej Interio, India's premier furniture solutions brand for the in-home and institutional markets, has developed a unique collection of homecare beds. The Grace Homecare Bed is a novel idea in which the backrest and leg rest may be electronically changed with the hand control device, allowing for easier movement and the ability to alternate between sitting and laying down positions. Godrej Interio's new line addresses the demand for safe and convenient home care for both the patient and the caregiver.

The ongoing pandemic, with its novel strains, has added a new wrinkle to the trend toward in-home care. Hospitals were overburdened at their height, forcing patients to heal at home. It became ideal for hospitals to discharge patients who can be monitored so that patients who require critical care or lengthy treatments can be admitted.

Godrej Interio's Grace Homecare Bed is a solution that is meant to make homecare safe and convenient for both the patient and the caregiver. The bed has been developed to provide maximum safety and stability in all positions, taking into account the varied levels of patient movement. Full length telescoping side rails to avoid falls, ergonomic design, and DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) posture where the elevation of a patient's legs assists in improved blood circulation, reducing clots and swelling are just a few of the essential safety features.

It also has a 100 mm space between the side rails for enhanced vision and to prevent claustrophobic feelings, allowing the recovering loved one to engage with their surroundings. Its motorised characteristics let the caregiver provide greater care to the patient while also protecting their physical health. The beautiful aesthetics of the Grace Homecare Bed reduce the 'hospital feel' and mix in perfectly with both modern and traditional home decor.
