Singareni Collieries targets 100 mt coal production by 2025

Celebrations on the occasion of Singareni Day took place in Telangana across the coal mines area as well as the Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) corporate office.

At the event organised in the corporate office, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) said that the company’s survival for another century will depend on the efforts of its workers, officials, and union leaders. Also by facing the challenges cooperatively along with the cooperation from the state and central governments.

The company aims to reach 100 million tonne (mt) annual production capacity by the end of 2025 along with a 10 million tonne contribution from the Naini block in Odisha in the upcoming financial year. Many public sector undertakings had begun and shut down as a result of the losses in the duration of 100 years, SCCL is growing gradually.

The CMD further said that the company will be making its record profits for the current year, the CMD stated that it will be moving forward towards a target of 68 million tonne production along with an overburden removal of 400 million cubic meters.

In the next financial year, it will be adding 10 mt production from Naini. It will go up to 30 million tonne per year in the upcoming years from the New Patrapada block that has been allotted to the company.

In the next three years, the company is also planning to open 10 new mines. The company’s turnover will be around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 crore every year once the production reaches 100 million tonne.
