PNC Infratech Wins Rs 34.89 Billion SECL Mining Deal

PNC Infratech has secured a letter of acceptance dated 1 August 2025 from South Eastern Coalfields (SECL) for a major mining services contract at the Gevra Open Cast Project (OCP) expansion site in Chhattisgarh.
The contract, valued at Rs 34.89 billion, covers a five-year period and involves comprehensive mining services. These include handling and transport activities, overburden removal through the hiring of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM), coal extraction using surface miners, and transporting the extracted coal to designated locations.
PNC Infratech had emerged as the L1 (first lowest) bidder for the project. The contract highlights SECL’s continued push towards efficient, large-scale coal mining to support India’s growing energy needs.
