Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL), a steelmaker, has issued a global procurement for the supply of coking coal and pulverised coal injection. The tender calls for 375,000 metric tonnes (MT) of coking coal and 75,000 MT of pulverised coal injection (PCI). Global tender notice for imported coking and PCI coal supply. Sealed bids are requested for the supply of 375,000 MT coking coal and 75,000 MT PCI with a 10 per cent shipping tolerance, as specified in the tender document. The deadline for proposals is July 27, 2022, before 10:30 a.m., according to the Visakhapatnam-based steel PSU.

PCI is a method that includes injecting high amounts of fine coal particles into the blast furnace raceway. With an annual capacity of around 7.5 million tonnes, RINL is one of the top six steel manufacturers in the country under the Ministry of Steel.
