Seamec Consortium Wins Rs 4,110 mn ONGC O&M Deal For Samudra Sevak

The SEAMEC consortium has been awarded a contract by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the MSV Samudra Sevak. The contract is worth Rs 4,110 mn and covers services for the offshore support vessel. The award follows a competitive bidding process and positions the consortium to provide sustained technical and logistical support to ONGC. The consortium secured the contract on the basis of technical credentials and prior experience in marine support operations.

The scope of work includes routine maintenance, emergency repairs, crewing and onboard operational support to ensure vessel readiness and safety compliance. The consortium will be responsible for supply chain coordination and scheduled drydock interventions as required. The arrangement is designed to maintain continuous operational availability for ONGC platforms. Works will follow industry standards and regulatory requirements for offshore vessels.

The contract value is expected to provide meaningful revenue visibility for the consortium and to underpin asset efficiency on the field. The engagement will allow the consortium to leverage its marine operations expertise and to standardise maintenance protocols across onboard systems. The O&M assignment is likely to create steady employment opportunities for specialised maritime personnel associated with the vessel. Financial terms will be reflected in forthcoming quarterly results according to standard reporting practices.

Industry observers note that such contracts contribute to the broader offshore services market by promoting competitive service delivery and operational reliability. The deal underlines ONGC's focus on outsourcing vessel management to experienced operators to sustain field operations. The consortium will now commence mobilisation and execution planning in coordination with ONGC and related stakeholders. Stakeholders emphasise adherence to environmental and safety norms during operations.
