L&T commissions 765kV Gas Insulated Substation

L&T Construction has commissioned India´s first 765 kV Gas Insulated Substation in Pune. The project is being executed in partnership with Korea´s Hyosung Power & Industrial Systems. It is the first GIS sub-station with a one and a half circuit breaker scheme in India, it possesses 3,449 m of gas insulated bus ducts in a single substation and for the first time, pre-fabricated steel buildings have been used for speeding up the construction process.
