Work on Bharat Forge and NTPC JV begins

BF-NTPC Energy Systems Ltd (BFNESL), a joint venture between Bharat Forge Ltd and NTPC Ltd, has begun work on its manufacturing plant at Solapur in Maharashtra. The new plant is expected to become operational by mid-2012 and involves an investment of Rs 300-350 crore.

The facility on 100 acre, will include manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and testing facilities for the product lines and also field services. The plant will be also supported by a design and engineering centre.
