Captain Polyplast has received an order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) for 2,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems in Maharashtra. The order is valued at approximately Rs. 470 mn, including GST, and was disclosed under the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s listing regulations. The domestic contract covers the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of solar pumping systems with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP. The systems will be installed at identified farmer sites across districts in Maharashtra under the PM-KUSUM B scheme and the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump programme. Captain Polyplast will also provide complete system warranties, repair and maintenance services, and remote monitoring systems for five years. Installation is scheduled to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the notice to proceed, work order or approval under the relevant joint survey report process. The order strengthens the company’s presence in the government-led solar engineering, procurement and construction segment and adds to its order book visibility. Captain Polyplast said its previous execution experience with MSEDCL would support delivery within the stipulated timeframe, while the contract would contribute to its solar pumping solutions business and broader renewable energy portfolio. Captain Polyplast manufactures and exports micro-irrigation equipment for agricultural applications and operates facilities in Rajkot, Gujarat, and Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Its distribution network covers 16 states in India, with exports to Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. The company has also diversified into solar water pumping and rooftop solar solutions and has partnered with Indian Oil Corporation for polymer product marketing in Gujarat. In FY26, Captain Polyplast reported consolidated total income of Rs. 4.2 bn, EBITDA of Rs. 463.2 mn and net profit of Rs. 272.6 mn. The company said its Ahmedabad facility had commenced operations, with the site intended to improve manufacturing efficiency and support in-house production of critical components.
