CleanMax, Nuvoco Partner on 46.4 MW Wind-Solar Project

Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions and Nuvoco Vistas Corporation have partnered to promote renewable energy adoption in Rajasthan through a 46.4 MW wind-solar hybrid project. The initiative is located at Bhikamkhore in the state and has been developed under a group captive structure for long-term clean energy procurement.

The project combines 20 MW of wind capacity with 26.4 MWp of solar capacity and a 2 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The hybrid configuration is intended to support the supply of renewable power to Nuvoco while combining generation from wind and solar assets with storage capability.

Electricity generated by the project will be supplied to Nuvoco through the State Transmission Utility (STU) Open Access network. The project adds to CleanMax’s renewable energy portfolio in Rajasthan, which the company identifies as a key market for large-scale development serving commercial and industrial (C&I) customers.

CleanMax has an operational portfolio of more than 525 MW across solar, wind and hybrid assets in Rajasthan. The company’s partnership with Nuvoco expands its presence in the state and supports the cement maker’s procurement of renewable power for its manufacturing operations.

Nuvoco is pursuing lower carbon intensity through renewable energy, waste heat recovery systems (WHRS), energy efficiency measures and greater use of alternative fuels. The project also supports its Digitalisation, Innovation and Renewables (DIRE) agenda, which covers climate action, the renewable energy transition, water stewardship, circularity and biodiversity conservation across its manufacturing ecosystem.

Cement Prices Rise Rs. 7 per Bag in September; October Hikes Expected

Cement companies may seek to raise prices by Rs. 5 to Rs. 20 per bag across most markets in October, although the ability to sustain the increases will depend on demand recovery and dealer acceptance, according to a report by Centrum Broking. The outlook follows a pickup in pricing momentum during September after largely stable prices in July and August. The all-India average trade price increased by Rs. 7 per bag month-on-month to Rs. 356 in September. Centrum Broking’s channel checks indicated gains across both trade and non-trade segments, with non-trade prices recording sharper increases..

Minister G Kishan Reddy Says No Coal Shortage Despite Higher Power Demand

Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy said India was not facing a coal shortage despite higher demand from thermal power plants, monsoon-related disruptions in mining operations and lower hydropower generation. He said coal was being supplied to power stations through railway rakes and road transport. Reddy made the remarks on Monday on the sidelines of the Assocham-organised Angul Aluminium Roadshow in Kolkata. His comments came amid reports of alleged supply constraints at some power plants, although he said the temporary interruptions should not be interpreted as a broader shortage. ..
