Freyr Energy & Schneider Electric Join Forces to Empower 25,000 Homes

Freyr Energy Services Pvt Ltd, a leading Indian cleantech startup, has announced a strategic partnership with Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, to accelerate the adoption of smart, sustainable energy solutions in Indian homes. Together, the companies aim to enable 25,000 prosumers by 2026, supporting India's clean energy transition.

This collaboration will integrate Freyr Energy’s rooftop solar expertise with Schneider Electric’s advanced Wiser Smart Home system, empowering homeowners to optimise energy usage, reduce electricity bills, and actively contribute to a lower-carbon future.

“Our innovation is rooted in sustainability, and this partnership with Freyr Energy marks a pivotal step towards smarter, greener Indian homes,” said Sumati Sahgal, Vice President – Retail, Schneider Electric India. "By combining Wiser’s intelligent energy management with Freyr’s proven rooftop solar solutions, we’re making it easier for families to save on costs while embracing clean energy."

The Wiser Smart Home platform provides real-time insights into energy consumption and production, enabling users to monitor, control and maximise their use of renewable energy. This integrated system empowers consumers to take informed energy decisions and reduce their dependence on traditional power sources.

Echoing this vision, Saurabh Marda, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Freyr Energy, remarked: "This collaboration allows us to offer holistic clean energy solutions. By merging rooftop solar with smart home automation, we give homeowners visibility and control over their energy ecosystem—simplifying the path to sustainability while unlocking real savings."

Schneider Electric will also extend its comprehensive portfolio of safe, efficient, and reliable digital energy products and services as part of the initiative. Homeowners will benefit from seamless installation, expert support, and long-term service reliability, ensuring peace of mind from initial consultation through to everyday use.

This partnership underscores a shared commitment to supporting India’s national goal of reducing carbon emissions by 33–35% from 2005 levels by 2030. The collaboration will play a key role in shaping intelligent, future-ready homes across the country that prioritise digital innovation, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
