Haryana's Solar Water Pumps Awarded

Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency (HAREDA) awarded companies including Shakti Pumps, AVI Appliances, Oswal Pumps, and others. These pumps will aid farmers, including smallholders, in irrigation. The project aligns with India's renewable energy push to support sustainable farming practices.

HAREDA previously issued contracts for 24,484 pumps and offers subsidies, covering up to 75% of costs for specific pump capacities. The initiative helps farmers reduce dependence on grid electricity.
