IREDA Signs Performance-Based MoU with MNRE for FY27

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has signed a performance-based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ministry for FY27.

The agreement was signed on 5 October 2026 at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan in New Delhi. MNRE Secretary Santosh Kumar Sarangi and IREDA Chairman and Managing Director Bijay Kumar Mohanty signed the document in the presence of senior officials, including MNRE Joint Secretary Anupam Kumar.

The MoU establishes strategic targets and key operational expectations for IREDA during the financial year. It is designed to align the organisation’s performance with the government’s renewable energy objectives and wider national development priorities. The framework also sets out a basis for monitoring progress during the year.

Following the signing, IREDA informed the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and BSE through a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The disclosure was authorised and submitted by company secretary Ekta Madan.

IREDA provides financial support for renewable energy and related projects across India, helping facilitate investment and capacity development in the sector. The company said its FY27 objectives would remain aligned with government policies, national priorities and the broader Viksit Bharat vision. The MoU is expected to provide a structured framework for strengthening IREDA’s contribution to India’s clean energy transition.
