Websol Energy Q1 FY27 Revenue Rises 70% to Rs 3.73 billion

Websol Energy System Limited reported revenue from operations of Rs 372.60 crore in Q1 FY27, up 70% from Rs 218.75 crore in Q1 FY26.

EBITDA increased 21% year-on-year to Rs 125.58 crore from Rs 103.48 crore, while profit after tax rose 16% to Rs 77.79 crore from Rs 67.18 crore. EBITDA margin stood at 34%, compared with 47% in the corresponding quarter last year, while PAT margin declined to 21% from 30%.

Solar cell production increased to 259 MW during the quarter from 126 MW a year earlier, with capacity utilisation at 92%. Module production rose to 103 MW from 50 MW, while module capacity utilisation improved to 81% from 39% in Q1 FY26.

Websol also prepaid its entire outstanding Rs 110 crore term loan from Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) on 4 August 2026 through internal accruals. The company said the repayment was completed without raising fresh capital or deferring its ongoing growth plans.

Following the repayment, collateral securities provided against the loan, including promoter-pledged shares, are expected to be released. The pledged portion of promoter shareholding subsequently reduced from 80% to 16%.

The company has also initiated the upgrade of one of its existing Mono PERC solar cell manufacturing lines to TOPCon technology. Upon completion, Websol’s TOPCon cell manufacturing capacity will increase to 750 MW, while its overall solar cell capacity will rise from 1,200 MW to 1,350 MW.

TOPCon technology will account for around 55% of the company’s total cell manufacturing capacity after the upgrade, strengthening its product mix in the high-efficiency solar cell segment.

Websol’s order book stood at Rs 1,278 crore as of 30 June 2026.
