NTPC Tenders Retrofit For Five MW Solar Inverter At Faridabad

NTPC Limited has issued a notice inviting tender for a technical upgrade at its Faridabad Gas Power Station in Haryana for the design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning, including retrofitting of the five Megawatt (MW) solar inverter at the plant. The initiative aims to modernise and sustain renewable energy assets and to improve operational efficiency and reliability. The project is presented as a targeted measure to maintain integration of solar generation within the station's portfolio.

The bidding will follow a Single Stage Single Envelope system requiring techno-commercial and price proposals to be submitted together under a domestic competitive bidding process open to eligible local firms. The tender states that there are no specific qualifying criteria for this package and that benefits for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and purchase preferences are not applicable. Bidders must quote firm prices with all rates to include Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the document notes that no Tender Fee or Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is required.

The scope has been categorised as non-overhauling and the contract will be awarded to a single agency since quantities cannot be split. The contract period is six months and delivery timelines will follow the detailed scope of work in the bidding documents. Execution will take place at the Faridabad Gas Power Station at Village Mujedi in District Faridabad and details on the Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) and other security deposits are set out in the Special Conditions of Contract.

The tender documents were digitally signed on 16 February 2026 and interested parties have been advised to refer to the NTPC eProcurement Portal for deadlines on bid submission, opening and clarifications. The notice reiterates compliance requirements for bidders from countries that share land borders with India, indicating that such bidders must be registered with the competent authority. NTPC framed the measure as part of ongoing efforts to modernise infrastructure and to ensure transparent and competitive procurement for renewable energy upgrades.
