SECI awards Rs 43.9 million BoS contract for 200 MW solar project to Amar Infrastructure

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded the Balance of System (BoS) package for a 200 MW (AC) solar project in Madhya Pradesh to Amar Infrastructure at a contract value of Rs 43.9 million. The tender, issued in May, was finalised after five months in October.
Under the BoS-only structure, the selected bidder is required to design, engineer, supply (except PV modules), unload PV modules at site, construct, erect, test and commission the ground-mounted solar power plant at Dhar. SECI’s approach enables project execution independent of module procurement timelines, allowing flexibility to source high-efficiency modules under both DCR and non-DCR categories.
Amar Infrastructure will also be responsible for operation and maintenance for five years, in addition to securing all necessary statutory and regulatory approvals for construction and commissioning.
Related SECI Awards
SECI earlier awarded a 300 MW (AC) / 390 MWp ground-mounted BoS project to Amara Raja Infra Pvt Ltd (ARIPL). That project includes the construction of a 220 kV pooling substation and the associated 220 kV transmission infrastructure linking to the existing PGCIL substation at Pavagada.
Strategic Context
SECI’s Dhar project forms part of its broader strategy to diversify solar development beyond Rajasthan and Gujarat, tapping into southern India’s transmission-ready infrastructure and expanding the geographical spread of utility-scale capacity.
