Suzlon Wins Rs 30 Billion Order for 381 MW Wind Project

Renewable energy company Suzlon has secured a 381 MW wind energy order from Zelestra India and its affiliates for their first-ever Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. The order is valued at approximately Rs 30 billion.
The project will utilise 127 of Suzlon's S144 turbines and span three states: Maharashtra (180 MW), Madhya Pradesh (180 MW), and Tamil Nadu (21 MW), the company announced.
“This project reflects a pivotal shift in India's energy transition towards reliable, round-the-clock renewable power,” said Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group.
The Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh segments form part of SJVN’s FDRE bid, while the Tamil Nadu portion will cater to Commercial and Industrial (C&I) consumers.
Sajay KV, CEO of Zelestra India, said the partnership lays the foundation for the delivery of their 5 GW hybrid project pipeline, which is strategically co-located and expected to achieve interconnection certainty by 2027–2028.
Zelestra operates across 13 countries with a 29 GW portfolio of carbon-free projects. Suzlon has installed around 21.1 GW of wind energy capacity across 17 countries, making it one of the global leaders in renewable energy solutions.
