Tata Power Backs 2025 Shaurya Bharat EV Rally With Charging

Tata Power, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging provider in India, played a key role in powering the Shaurya Bharat EV Rally 2025—a tribute to India’s armed forces and a strong push for sustainable transport. Organised in partnership with the Indian Air Force, Tata Motors, and the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), the rally celebrated courage and clean energy alike.
The rally, which travelled from New Delhi to Adampur in Punjab via Murthal and Ambala, featured over 30 Tata Harrier EVs. Tata Power served as the exclusive charging partner, providing continuous support through its EZ CHARGE network along the 600+ km route.
Co-organised with the Air Force Adventure Wing, the event honoured the Indian defence forces while also acting as a high-impact platform to showcase India’s EV capabilities and highlight the importance of transitioning to sustainable transport.
Tata Power ensured uninterrupted charging at every stop, deploying its strategically located public chargers to support the multi-city journey. More than just powering the vehicles, the company demonstrated that its infrastructure is ready to handle large-scale EV operations under real-world conditions.
With over 5,400 public and captive charging points, more than 135,000 home chargers, and 1,200 bus charging stations across 600+ cities, Tata Power operates one of India’s most extensive EV charging networks. Its charging infrastructure supports private vehicle users, fleet operators, and institutional partners, extending across highways, commercial zones, malls, and residential areas.
So far, Tata Power has enabled over 2.36 billion electric kilometres globally and helped avoid more than 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions through its electric bus network alone. By 2030, the company aims to expand to 750,000 home chargers and 10,000 public charging stations—underscoring its commitment to India’s net-zero ambitions.
The rally symbolised more than just a ceremonial drive; it became a powerful expression of what India’s EV ecosystem can achieve with the right infrastructure and vision. Tata Power’s contribution turned this tribute into a message of national progress—where innovation and respect go hand in hand.
Tata Power Company Ltd, a Tata Group entity, operates across the power value chain with a total installed capacity of 15.7 GW, including 6.9 GW from renewable sources. It serves over 12.8 million customers across India and is on track to achieve carbon neutrality before 2045, actively supporting India’s clean energy transition through widespread public and private partnerships.
