Adani´s Udupi power plant to add 1,600 MW by 2020

Udupi Power Corporation (UPCL), a subsidiary of Adani Power, will produce an additional 1,600 MW of power at its thermal plant in Udupi by 2020. At present, the plant produces 1,200 MW of power. The company has signed an MoU with the Karnataka Government to set up 2 x 800 MW coal-based power plant in Udupi with an investment of Rs 11,500 crore, in its second phase expansion.
