Big Slice Technologies launches a B2B information portal for the construction industry.
The construction industry is an unorganised sector, especially in execution. Big Slice Technologies Pvt Ltd, a Pune based company, has launched an information portal v buildinfo.co.in v for the construction industry, with an idea to have all the information on a single platform. Over 50,000 users across the country using its products.

What's in store?
The portal has listings of suppliers, professionals and contractors. It has current rates of different materials and various labour works as well as various ready-to-use technical formats like work orders, construction cost break-up, sales related formats booking form, etc. It also provides industry news, information about awards, events and exhibitions.
Software of Rate analysis in the form of mobile app and web app namely (Rate analysis "PRO/PLUS", which provides rate analysis of all commonly used civil and finishing items with updated material and labour rates.
A free mobile app called ("My Civil Calc" - a daily use calculator with a unique feature of calculating units.
A free mobile app ("Material analysis", which gives material take-offs of all commonly used civil and finishing items.

Relevant for students
Practical site information is not majorly covered in the syllabus; students of civil engineering and architecture or interior designing can use the information on the portal and the app to implement new practices on project sites.

Future plans
In the near future, the company will extend most of the data on the portal to multiple cities in the country. It is also developing a mobile app featuring lists of suppliers, professionals and contractors related to the construction industry, where one can access the best options and rates. In future, its main focus will also be to provide up-to-date information and develop tools and platforms that will be helpful to the industry.

Mumbai logs over 12,000 property deals in April; revenue nears Rs 9.9 bn

MHADA to issue redevelopment NOCs within 6 weeks: Jaiswal
