L&T, NCC, Shapoorji Pallonji to develop Rs 2,652-crore Amaravati housing project

The Andhra Pradesh Government has selected L&T, NCC and Shapoorji Pallonji to develop a mega-housing project in Amravati.

The housing project is reportedly being developed at an estimated cost of Rs 2,652 crore for government employees and elected government representatives and will be completed in six months. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has also approved the new estimated cost for the project, which is 33 per cent higher than the earlier estimated Rs 1,991 crore.

The 18 towers have flats of 900 sq ft for class four employees, 1,200 sq ft for non-gazetted officers, 1,500 sq ft for type-two gazetted officers, 1,800 sq ft for type-one gazetted officers and 3,500 sq ft for All India Services officers as well as elected representatives. The design for these towers and villas have been mapped out by Team One India.
