Gurugram Metro Rail Ltd (GMRL) plans to secure parcels of land along the Millennium City Centre–Cyber Hub corridor for commercial development and to claim a share of transit oriented development (TOD) proceeds, aiming to strengthen the scheme’s long term finances.A senior official said GMRL has not yet been allotted any land for property ventures, but will ask the Haryana government to earmark suitable plots beside the alignment. India’s Competition Commission has directed its investigations unit to examine whether Asian Paints has abused its dominant position, following a complaint by Kumar Mangalam Birla’s paints venture, Birla Opus.
